E-ANSWERS

Do you take new patients?

Yes, we support new patients and we register local people for GP services.

Do you accept medical cards?

No, at present we do not accept medical card, under 8 card and over 70 cards. The standard GP appointments are provided to support local services for those who are in need and there is standard fee for the service.

We are very small independent facility with no support but community of our patients and we do not have  HSE GMS full contract for this reason.

We understand difficult times and if you feel you cannot afford to pay fees please follow up with another local GMS GP that has support from HSE.

Yes, we are fully registered General Practice in public and private hospitals in Ireland and we can refer for service within the family doctor competency.

Yes, we do provide maternity and infant family medicine (GP) care. Due to our profile and size of the practice we do not provide maternity-infant scheme and baby vaccination under HSE scheme and we do not stock vaccinations.

Do you do blood tests?

Yes, we are fully registered General Practice in public and private hospitals in Ireland and we can refer for service within the family doctor competency in the local hospital.

Non-standard tests in functional medicine are referred to the laboratories we cooperate in UK or Poland.

Can I order blood tests?

No

The blood tests in Ireland are requested by registered medical practitioners (here family doctor (General Practitioner) and this is his/her responsibility to schedule diagnostics and process them and follow up. This is different experience than in other countries where you may walkin to lab. It has some limitations but generally in our experience this is better rule due to safety of the patient and especially for children.

What is the fee for the consultation?

The fee mirrors the time we dedicate you - the patient and his condition.

The brief GP consult is 10 minutes and starts Please see fees at Contact

The extended or integrative consultation is 20-30 minutes, the functional lifestyle integrative may last from 45 to 90min and is followed up by summary.

How much time do I need for the consultation

Our work is a team assessment. It takes at least 30-45 minutes of interview and physical examination. Depending on clinical problem - disease or requested spectrum of prophylaxis.

Our life is determined by multiple factors. To identify them we need time to assess you. The more complex problem or more multimorbidity - many conditions the longer our meeting goes. The typical GP examination is a good start, medical and family history, your environment, followed by lifestyle intervention, planning diagnostics and recovery plan.

Often you need follow up consultation that is much shorter. It also depends on scope of interventions you work with us and complex diagnostics we order.

Can I walk-in?

At present this is the appointment only service.

Are you available for Emergency walk-in?

No, currently we are unable to provide Emergency or Urgent 24 hour Care. You need to contact local Emergency Urgent Care at your local hospital.

For the registered patients we do our best to offer triage of urgent assessment - availability permitted.

Will I receive receipt accepted by my medical health insurer?

Yes all receipts are sent to your email and you may download them. We are registered as General Practice on Specialist Register and our GP service is accepted by all health plans of all companies who accept General Practice fees. For the details you need to contact your own company.

Do I need follow up appointment with blood test?

Yes if there is any abnormality that has to be discussed thoroughly.

No if the result test is normal or there are minor abnormalities of no clinical significance.

You may always request a copy of blood tests results.

Will you call me when the results are returned to Dr`s surgery?

Due to complex laboratory and imaging services we are unable to trace all the results especially if we do not know when your phlebotomy or imaging is organized.

You must contact us regarding the blood test or imaging results within 2-4 weeks after phlebotomy or attending hospital/sending the sample to lab.
